Manufacturer Spotlight – Trident

Manufactures Engineered Systems for the Oil and Gas Industry
Trident Process Systems is a locally owned fabrication company that manufactures pressure vessels and engineered skid packages for on-site installation at oil and gas production locations to separate the oil, water and gas before sending down to the pipeline. That’s not all that separates them from other businesses. The president of Trident, Philip Neelley, firmly believes that to attract people from the community to join the Trident team, management needs to be involved, engaged and live in the community too.
Trident Process Systems opened in September of 2014 with a vision to partner with the best customers in their industry, those who are stable during the ups and downs of the oil and gas industry. To do this they build the best engineered package, one that requires very little work to install on site for their customers. And to partner with the best customers, Trident knows they need the best people on their team.
President, Philip Neelley is very involved in the community. He serves on the boards of the GISD, Workforce Texoma and Cooke County Manufacturing Consortium. He is engaged with NCTC and the Career Tech programs, appreciating how educators and manufacturers are working together to create student paths to fill the talent gaps for our local companies. “I want our company to grow,” said Phillip, “but I want it to grow here in Gainesville. We have plenty of land for future expansions and this is how we will do it, not by expanding in secondary locations.”
Achieving the company’s vision and goals comes down to people. “Leadership is important but to grow takes an employee team dedicated to quality and safety. We find that locally grown talent, those who appreciate a career in the town they call home, is the best way to meet our goals.” As an employer of choice, Trident provides health care for their employees and is launching a 401K plan this summer.
Since opening in 2014 Trident has grown from 9 employees to 90. They recently installed a new profiling machine to increase production capacity, part of their quest to continuously improve. And Trident has not had a lost time safety incident since opening. Trident is a company that is leading the way to grow Gainesville.
